Delighted to announce have been certified as a Green Small Business. Hurrah! Following on from our Planet Mark sustainability award, we’re continuing down a path of keeping crafting green.
As a small business, eco friendly practices are a key value at the heart of The Crafty Hen. As individuals within the team, as well the wider business, we all strive each day to be environmentally friendly, follow ethical and sustainable practices, save energy and generally be climate kind were we can.
From the small things like incorporating recycled materials into our daily workplace tasks as well as at workshops, cutting down on waste from our suppliers, and that the majority of our studio team cycle or walk to work. To much larger considerations like exploring carbon neutral delivery partners, only using biodegradable / recyclable packaging for our craft kits, as well as developing eco-friendly workshop activities to share our passion for sustainable practices further afield.
And here in the main studio, we’re also doing our utmost to sample as many vegan doughnuts, cupcake recipes and biscuit options as we can as often as our waist lines allow. It’s a tough task, but somehow we’ll manage!
