Terms & Conditions
Payment
The fee paid includes all the materials required to take part in the workshop. (For virtual events, some equipment may need to be provided by yourself, please refer to product listing for more details. This may involve providing your own scissors, iron, ironing board and lighter. Everything specialist will be provided in the kit.)
All payments due are inclusive of VAT (unless otherwise stated).
By making a booking / purchase you are agreeing to the terms set out here, and consenting to the practices outlined in our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to cancel any booking after it has been placed and will notify you in such circumstances.
Cancellations,Returns and Exchanges
Should you wish to cancel your place, you must inform us 7 days or more before the date of your workshop. In this case, you will receive a refund of the fee minus a £5 admin fee. Please contact us on info@thecraftyhen.co.uk and we will reply within one working day.
If you give us less than 7 days’ notice no refund will be given.
For a virtual workshop booking, if there are any problems with your craft kits once they arrive, or you would like to discuss an exchange, please contact us asap to discuss. Please keep in mind situations are difficult to resolve with less than 7 days to go ahead of a workshop. Original postage costs are non-refundable once materials have been dispatched. In the event that you returned goods to us, they must be in the original packaging, unopened and all contents and supplementary resources accounted for. Should returned goods be tampered with or damaged we reserve the right to refuse a refund. When returning goods ensure they are well packaged. Postage is at your own expense, we advise using a tracked service. Please retain proof of posting as we cannot be responsible for any items that fail to reach us.
Refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 5 working days of receiving your return.
Bespoke or personalised orders are non-refundable.
Cancellations by The Crafty Hen
There may be rare occasions where we have to cancel a workshop. This is always a worse case scenario situation, and we will do our best to refrain from doing this. Situations could include tutor sickness, where an alternative tutor can not be found. Not enough participants to run the event on the day to make it viable to run. Please keep in mind the Force Majeure conditions below, which covers circumstances beyond our control.
If we have to cancel a workshop due at the fault of The Crafty Hen (and not because of a force Majeure condition). Ideally we will seek to find an alternative date and transfer your booking over, if this isn’t possible:
before the workshop materials have been sent out (for a virtual event), a full refund will be given
after the workshop materials have been sent out (for a virtual event), we will provide instructions to complete the craft in your own time, and we will refund the tuition part of the fee paid.
We do ask those who can afford it to take credit instead to use at a later date. This can be used towards any workshop, experience or craft kit available from us.
We aim to inform you latest 2 working days before a workshop if it is cancelled. But will always endeavour to avoid this situation to the best of our abilities.
We process refunds as quickly as we can. We will refund you using the same method of payment.
Saftey
Although all tools and equipment provided are very safe to use, it is worth being mindful of your own safety, particularly when using hot or sharp items, like irons, scissors etc. While we encourage you to enjoy your workshop as much as possible, please keep in mind your own safety with tools and equipment you may be using.
The Crafty Hen is not responsible for operation or use of any materials and equipment used in making your items. The Crafty Hen has no liability in use of the virtual craft kits, this is at your own risk.
Delivery of craft Materials - vIRTUAL eVENTS ONLY
Delivery will usually be by Royal Mail. Materials will be dispatched between 4-10 days ahead of the online workshop date to ensure resources arrive in plenty of time.
For short notice or international delivery, there may be an additional charge.

INCLUSIVITY & DISCRIMINATION
The Crafty Hen is an inclusive organisation, and we strive for our workshops and experiences to be comfortable and accessible environments for all.
Our team has a right to work without discrimination, on the grounds of racism, sexism, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability or any other prejudice. Should our team experience any such forms of direct or indirect discrimination, we have a right to terminate your session. No refund or compensation will be applicable in this instance.As our client, should you witness or experience any discrimination or prejudice on any grounds, we ask you to contact us immediately via our out of hours number, or on info@thecraftyhen.co.uk.
Force Majeure
The Crafty Hen will not be liable or pay compensation or damages if our contractual obligations to you are affected by any event which we cannot, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. This includes but is not limited to; war, or threat of war, strikes, riot, civil strife, pandemics, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical problems affecting transport or any similar events beyond our control.
Data Protection
We do not share your data outside of our organisation or with third parties.
With the exception of facilitating delivery, when delivery details and email address (for tracking purposes) may be provided to the courier service.
